Our mission statement, is "Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, Kappa Alpha Theta exists to nurture each member throughout her college and alumnae experience and to offer a lifelong opportunity for social, intellectual, and moral growth as she meets the higher and broader demands of mature life."

Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1870, and we are the first greek letter fraternity known among women. Being a Theta leads a woman to personal excellence, offering her ways to become her best self. Membership in Theta is more than just letters, it's a symbol of lifelong friendships and achievement. Being a Theta transforms women into leaders on their campus, community, and home.

Letter from our President

Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of California, Irvine! We hope you find that when looking through our website, Thetas are dedicated to making an impact on campus and around the world!

The atmosphere in our home is so lively and cheery because of our girls who constantly support and encourage one another to reach their goals. I remember feeling nervous about what the Greek system would be like at UCI, but when I walked into the Theta house, it was like a breath of fresh air, a burden lifted off my shoulders. I didn’t have to worry about whom I thought I should be, I was just me! Thetas pride themselves on being unapologetically unique and diverse. Ranging from majors such as Drama and Literary Journalism to Human Biology and Computer Engineering, Thetas have made themselves known on campus. I’m so proud to surround myself with such Leading Women who inspire me to hold myself to a better standard. My sisters are Campus Representatives, CARE Advocates, and fitness instructors; they hold research positions, an intern with filmmakers and write for the university newspaper. Wherever you are on campus, I guarantee you will find a Theta.

Our philanthropic efforts for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are embedded in every aspect of our chapter. We hold two philanthropy events each year: Theta Shootout and Rock the CASA. Our annual 3x3 basketball tournament and 3-point shootout entice members of fraternities, sororities, and campus organizations alike, bringing awareness to our cause while embracing the comradery of friendly competition. Through the efforts of our spring benefit concert, Rock the CASA, our campus outreach extends even more by showcasing talented individuals from UCI’s student body. Last year our chapter alone raised $17,000!

I have truly found my home in the Epsilon Sigma chapter because of the down-to-earth demeanor and thriving sisterhood has become an integral part of my college experience. For all these reasons and more, I look forward to meeting women who will carry on our chapter’s legacy.

Theta Love & Mine,
